Men have a need to feel needed. The fact that women show their independence and do not provide a space for them to feel needed has become an issue.
Men were once use to being the bread winner and this was their space for women to need them. Now with women also becoming the breadwinners of families, they are a bit lost in what they are needed for.
In this case, let your husband do the upkeep of the outside of the home, garbage, open cans for you, repair things and the cars. Call on him instead of doing it yourself. Have his input on purchases and decisions more. Make him feel as though he is truly valued and needed in situations.
This should lessen his feelings of inferiority but it probably will not go away totally.

Some men are still ';old-fashioned'; and want to be the sole provider, even if the wife is capable of doing so. Others have no problem with it, such as men who stay home with the kids while the wife goes back to work.
well, all men don't feel that way, because my wife, up until about a year ago, out earned me by about ten grand a year. I have no problem with it, but I guess I'm not the average man!
Who? I need a woman like that. A real smart woman in a real short skirt with lots of money. With my money we would have it made.

guy thing... they have it pounded in to them to be providers and how much women look at money when they search for a husband.... if there weren't so many gold diggers out there lol... :)
