Does my husband have to let his chain of command know when he files for divorce?

If so, does he have to inform them BEFORE he files or is that irrelevant.

He's active duty with 2 years left on his contract and is in the states.Does my husband have to let his chain of command know when he files for divorce?
he will have to tell them when its final, and probably should now but doesn't have toDoes my husband have to let his chain of command know when he files for divorce?
Only when it is final. That will affect his BAH, etc. Otherwise, it isn't an issue.
Only when it is final, and he is changing his BAH and martial status.
he dont need to tell anyone in his chain of command, he only needs to deal with finance so they can adjust his pay or entitlements
he doesn't have to tell them anything. he does have to tell finance to stop his BAH and to personell to put in his records that he is no longer married. if you lived in base houseing he will have to give that up and move to the dorms or rent off base but that's his problem. as far as his chain of command goes he doesn't have to tell them unless someone asks but it's no big deal
