How would you react if you found out your husband fathered a child with another woman while married to you?

I have seen this happen a few times among people I know. Some accept visitations from the child, others will not allow it. The child is in the middle here and is taking all the blows from what their parents did.

Would you forgive your husband if he did that and accept the child to come visit with you both or would you take a different approach to the situation? How would you react if you found out your husband fathered a child with another woman while married to you?
That would be a done deal...he not only cheated on you, but had unsafe sex, putting your life at risk. How would you react if you found out your husband fathered a child with another woman while married to you?
I would walk away from him and go find a man that actually cares about you!

But this seems to be in the past, and the way you phrase your question you probably aren't going to leave him. You're right, the child shouldn't have to pay for the parent's mistakes, so I would let the child come to visit. He has a right to see his father, and allowing visits would be taking the high road for you.
No I would not forgive the husband. I'd be gone and filing for divorce. As a married man who CHOSE to ***** around he should have made the CHOICE to use a condom...since obviously he was to stupid to make that choice I prefer not to be associated with a stupid man So I would leave him.
I would not stay with him any longer. Cheating is cheating, no matter if its produces a child or not.
Divorce!
I would leave him and expect him to care for the child.
I would leave him and I still expect him to take care of that child.
First, it would depend on the circumstances involving the birth. Give a guy GHB, plus a drug to cause an erection, than the female has baby making sex with him. Did he cheat or not? Usually though, they ask for child support, but don't allow visitation, or they will tell the wife. In a Michigan case in 1997, a woman was collecting child support from five married men by doing this, on the same child. She was only found out when one of the men got a divorce, than filed for parental rights. The child wasn't his, or the other four men. She was not arrested as there's no laws against it.

I've seen this go both ways, and have gotten into trouble for taking the fathers to task for it by the organization I worked with. Now I run my own leaving me free to use a baseball bat on them.

Unfortunately, if the marriage also involves children, staying together is best for them. Divorce is far more damaging to the children than the affair, but something would need to be done to address his wandering ways. And, there's no clear answer to what that should be. Kathy Lee Gifford had sex with him 3-4 times a day for weeks. He couldn't get it up to a porno flick.

Of course, a little saltpeter in his food also does wonders. Did that to my daughters boyfriends back in the 90s.

There are far worse things than this. You could be married for ten years when he gets informed that he's the father of a 14-year-old he knew nothing about. All your assets get frozen, drained, and he's ordered to pay $85,000 in retroactive child support.

He gets no visitation rights because he can not affird to hire an attorney to get them, and paying child support does not grant rights.

Either way, addressing the problems of a stepchild needs to be addressed. Here's something that can help.
