I am 19 years old and so is my husband and we have a child. can we get our income tax?

I worked form january 2007-june 2007 and i stopped working and going to school because i was pregnant. My husband worked 3 months in 2007 and like a month or 2 at another job off and on. Right now me and my husband can't find a good part time job because we are both attending college and i was just wondering what we could do.I am 19 years old and so is my husband and we have a child. can we get our income tax?
You should be receiving a Form W-2 from every employer that you or your husband worked for.

You should file your Income Tax Return because with a child, you'll be entitled to some EITC (Earned Income Tax Credits) as well as the money you had withheld by your employer.

I don't know all the specifics of your situation since you didn't share them, but I'd guess that you're probably going to be entitled to a refund of any income tax that was withheld from your jobs, as well as the earned income credit. You'll probably get a sizeable check back.

Check out Turbotax's Free Filing programI am 19 years old and so is my husband and we have a child. can we get our income tax?
You can file and most of your return will be eic and you will probably get back all that you have paid in to federal. As far as a part time job anything making a dollar is better than nothing.
if you earned money, you can (and SHOULD) file your taxes. you will most likely get all of your taxes back, plus some earned income credit.

a good place for someone like you to go is the irs website and click on the ';free e-file'; link. that will lead you to some companies that offer e-filing for free. i've filed mine online for free for the past three years (and i got my federal back last friday!)
As long as niether you or your husband are the qualifying children of someone else then yes, you can get it.

Do you live on your own or are your parents claiming you?
